Serving the Whole Man, Body, Soul, and Spirit
"As the Body of Christ, we gather for worship, fellowship, and the Word—walking in spiritual gifts, serving in unity, and growing together toward the fullness of Christ. (Eph. 4:3-13) "
– Rev. Lamar West, Pastor
About Us
Mission Statement
In obedience to God, as a Christ-centered body of believers, we commit to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the saving of souls, disciple believers, enable and encourage one another to love, worship, and serve our Savior, Jesus Christ. Train and fortify every member to be able to carry out the great commission (Matt:16:15-18). Furthermore, we commit to share the Good News and ourselves with our neighbors in Salvation Healing & Deliverance Center, in the surrounding communities, and throughout the entire world.
Salvation Healing Deliverance Center exists to:
- WORSHIP – “To participate in public worship services together and to maintain personal daily devotions.” (John 4:24)
- EVANGELISM – “To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible in our community, and further the cause of the Kingdom of God in the United States of America and foreign lands.” (Matthew 28:18- 20; Acts 1:8; 2 Peter 3:9)1.
- MINISTRY/MISSIONS – “To serve unselfishly in Jesus’ name, meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in our church, community, and in the world.” (1 Peter 4:10,11; Matthew 25:34-40; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Galatians 5:13)
- DISCIPLESHIP – “To help members develop toward full Christian maturity and train them for effective ministry. To promote personal, spiritual growth and discipleship through Bible teaching.” (Ephesians 4:11-13; Matthew 18:20; 2 Timothy 2:1,2)
- FELLOWSHIP – “To encourage, support and pray for each other as members of the family of God. To share our lives together.” (1 John 1:7; Acts 2:44-47; Hebrews 10:23-25; Romans 15:5-7; John 13:34, 35)
- We the members of the Body, the Church, are enjoined to assemble ourselves together for worship, fellowship and instruction in the Word of God, the work of its ministry, and for the exercise of those spiritual gifts and offices provided for in the New Testament; and according to God’s word. The early Christians came together in such fellowship as a representative Body of blood-washed and Spirit-filled believers, who cooperated with, and sent out, evangelists and missionaries and, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, set over the churches, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, deacons and helpers; therefore, be it Resolved, That we recognize ourselves as a body of Christian believers, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, till we all come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:3-13).
